Experience a unique day during the ‘From Sweet to Salt Combination Arrangement’. Combine a visit to the Afsluitdijk Wadden Centre with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site Ir. D.F. Woudagemaal in Lemmer, the largest steam pumping station in the world that is still in operation. Even when the pumping station is not in operation, the Wouda Pumping Station is a fun day out for young and old. The package can be booked from 2 persons on Wednesday to Saturday. Groups larger than 20 persons can also book on Mondays and Tuesdays. Reservations for this combi package are necessary and can be made by mail via sales@afsluitdijkwaddencenter.nl or by phone via 0515-238208. (Please mention your address, telephone number, date of visit and number of persons).
PLEASE NOTE: For this package, you can change the number of participants up to 5 working days in advance. After that we calculate the number that was passed on. The package is based on own transport and prices are subject to change.
Combine a visit to the Afsluitdijk Wadden Center with a boat trip on the Wadden Sea. Step aboard from the Afsluitdijk Wadden Center or board at Makkum or Harlingen. The boat trip is possible from a half-day to a whole day. Thanks to the wide range of boats (flat-bottomed boats to three-masters), this package can be booked for any group size.

It is the only place in Europe where the ‘German Blitzkrieg’ advance was stopped in May of 1940. Only 225 Dutch soldiers knew how to hold back almost 17.000 Germans. A story to be proud of. With the ‘Schuim’ package you will discover 2 very different aspects of the Waddensea that have one thing in common: foam! And with that we mean the foam on the waves in the Waddensea, which you discover all about in the Afsluitdijk Wadden Center, and the foam on the traditionally brewed beer of the brewery ‘Brouwdok’ in Harlingen, located at the Waddensea. After a visit of the Exposition and a delicious lunch in Afsluitdijk Wadden Center, you leave Kornwerderzand behind and drive to Harlingen for a guided tour through the brewery. Finally, you end the day with a beer tasting of the Brouwdok beer while looking down on the Waddensea: a perfect end of a perfect day!
