Admission to the experience center is free for children under 4 years of age, €3.00 for children aged 4 to 12, and €5.00 for visitors aged 12 and over.

Themes
Our interactive experience center takes visitors on a journey through various themes that together tell the story of the Afsluitdijk. You will discover the history of flooding, projects by Rijkswaterstaat, the fish migration river, the Wadden Sea, the IJsselmeer, blue energy, and the role of regional tourism. The experience center can be visited entirely at your own pace and takes an average of 45 to 60 minutes. Once you have seen everything, we recommend ending your visit on our roof terrace, where an impressive view awaits you.
Presentation
In addition to a regular visit to the experience center, we also offer an informative presentation about the Afsluitdijk. This presentation lasts approximately 20-30 minutes and provides in-depth information about both the history and the technical and ecological aspects of this iconic dyke project. The presentation is available from €195 and is given by an experienced guide. Afterwards, you can visit the experience center to further explore the topics covered. During this follow-up, the guide will remain available to answer additional questions and provide further explanation.

Treasure hunt Bobby Fish
A Bobby Fish treasure hunt has been developed especially for our youngest visitors. Bobby Fish has hidden himself in various places throughout the experience center. Can you find them all? If so, a tasty surprise awaits you at the reception desk. There is also a fun play table and drawing table in the exhibition for children.
